About us
Bite Promotions is a UK manufacturer of personalised chocolate and branded confectionery, supplying trade buyers and organisations across the UK since 2000. We work from our own factory on Kenfig Industrial Estate in Margam, Port Talbot — known locally as the Chocolate Factory — where 25 of us make, print, finish and pack everything we sell.
We supply trade and end customers. Minimum order is 100 units across most of the range, with lead times of 10 or 15 working days depending on artwork approval.
Where the name comes from
Bite Promotions is a trading name of Michton Ltd. Michton came first, founded by siblings Michelle and Tony — the name is a straightforward combination of the two. Bite grew out of it and is now much the larger side of the business, but both still operate from the same site under the same ownership.
We actually make the chocolate
This is the part that separates us from most suppliers in the promotional market, who buy finished product in and add a printed wrapper.
We temper and mould chocolate on site. We also make our own moulds in-house using vacuum formers and CNC machines, which means a bespoke chocolate shape doesn't need an external toolmaker, a long lead time or a tooling bill that only makes sense at enormous volumes. If you need something that doesn't exist yet, we can usually make the mould for it.
Where we don't manufacture something ourselves — branded lines, certain snacks and drinks — we source it and pack it here, to the same standards and in the same facility.
Print and finishing under the same roof
Our digital press is a recent, high-specification machine producing full-colour print across the entire face of a wrapper, box or card — not a label stuck on afterwards. Alongside it we run Heidelberg presses for die cutting, machines that have been doing this job properly for decades and still do it better than most of what has replaced them.
Because print, finishing and food production all happen in the same building, there is no outsourcing step. Nothing is couriered to a third party and back. That is why our lead times are what they are, and why there is no external finishing cost built into our prices.
Labelling and compliance
Our own technical team handles ingredient, nutritional and allergen labelling, along with traceability coding and best-before dating, on every product we supply.
Powering the factory
We generate all of our heat and a significant amount of power on site. A 50kW solar array supplies electricity, and our heating runs on a bank of biomass boilers fuelled by wood chip we produce ourselves, chipping sustainably sourced logs on site.
It is an unusual setup for a factory of our size, and it was a deliberate choice rather than a marketing exercise. It also means that when a client asks what the environmental footprint of their order looks like, we can answer with something concrete.

We supply brands and retailers, charities, corporate gifting and HR teams, travel and hospitality businesses, museums, attractions and membership organisations, event organisers, and promotional merchandise agencies — including trade resellers supplying their own clients under their own name.
