Artwork Preparation & Print Specifications

Following these manufacturing guidelines ensures your artwork prints as expected and avoids production delays.

How does Bite Promotions print custom confectionery packaging?

We print all promotional products digitally using full-colour CMYK, allowing you to use unlimited colours at no additional cost.

What are the file formats and software requirements?
For the highest printing clarity, we recommend creating your artwork in Adobe Illustrator (.AI). Our downloadable packaging templates are supplied in an Illustrator-friendly PDF format. If you use alternative design software, you must ensure your artboard matches our exact millimetre dimensions, text is converted to outlines, and images are embedded at a minimum of 300 DPI.

Pre-Flight Submission Checklist

Before exporting and submitting your file to the Bite Promotions trade portal, confirm you have completed these mandatory checks:

  1. No Proofreading: All spelling, phone numbers, website links, and product info have been checked. We print exactly what you submit.
  2. Colour Space: Document mode is strictly configured to CMYK, not RGB, to prevent unexpected colour shifting.
  3. Font Layout: All typography layers have been expanded and converted to outlines (paths) to avoid font substitution bugs.
  4. Image Quality: All background images or graphic assets are fully embedded (not linked) and scaled at a minimum of 300 DPI.
  5. Margins Applied: Artwork backgrounds fill the outer bleed line, and critical assets sit safely within the 3mm safe zone.

Please note: If your artwork does not meet our strict template configurations, our studio team will pause your order and contact you for corrections. This may affect your guaranteed production and delivery timeline.
