How We Print: Digital CMYK & Colour Specifications

We print all promotional products digitally using full-colour CMYK, allowing you to use unlimited colours at no additional cost. To ensure your brand assets reproduce with absolute precision across our confectionery packaging, please review our digital printing processes, colour space rules, and calibration limitations below.

What are the colour calibration limitations of digital printing?
Because digital printing utilizes hardware-driven chemical ink layers rather than glowing digital pixels, please note these physical production constraints:

Screen vs. Print Discrepancies: Printed colours may appear slightly different from those displayed on your monitor. This variance occurs because computer screens emit light in RGB mode, while physical packaging reflects light using CMYK ink profiles.

Pantone Spot Colours: Pantone (PMS) spot colours cannot be matched exactly in digital CMYK printing. Our pre-press software will automatically convert Pantone values to their closest possible four-color process equivalent.

Specialist Inks: Highly saturated neon, fluorescent, and metallic finishes cannot be precisely reproduced using standard digital full-colour printing.

What is the recommended colour profile for Bite Promotions templates?
For the most accurate and consistent colour reproduction across our entire manufacturing facility, always create, design, and save your artwork using the CMYK colour space.

Our recommended colour profile is PSO Coated FOGRA51.
Designing in RGB or using unmanaged device colour profiles can cause unexpected, dramatic colour shifting when your file enters our automated print layup queue.

What are the benefits of Bite Promotions' digital printing process?
Unlike traditional printing plate methods, our high-speed digital presses provide distinct B2B merchandising advantages:

Unlimited Branding Colours: You can use complex photographic images, intricate gradients, and multi-coloured logos on a single item at no extra unit cost.

No Setup Fees per Colour: Because we do not require individual physical plates for every colour layer, your setup costs remain flat regardless of your design's complexity.

Shorter Lead Times: Digital automation allows us to transition files smoothly from approval straight to the production line, helping us secure lead times starting from 3 working days.
